We are overjoyed to be able to share this video of Ms. Vita, one of our teachers, who had health complication during delivery. Vita is now greeting us, telling her story and thanking all her supporters. She is back to normal life, with her husband and two daughters. Her one-year old baby girl, as you can see, is happy and healthy too.
In October 2019, Vita went to hospital to deliver her baby. But due to pulmonary complications, she slipped into a coma and the situation became very critical. Vita could only have better chances of survival if she were transferred to a private hospital with more modern equipment and round-the-clock medical assistance. But Vita's family could not afford the hospital expenses, so her family appealed to all their friends and contacts.
Missione Possibile launched a fundraising campaign to cover her health-care costs. Also thanks to its Hong Kong supporters, among which the ladies of the 'Power Girl' WhatsApp group chat, the response was really good, and Vita could be taken care of in the best way.
It is wonderful to witness how Vita’s life has been saved with the cooperation of so many people who generously contributed to her cause.
